Jan. 27, 2019 – Washington County, WI – UPDATED: The question of the day seems to be whether or not the local school districts will be closing in anticipation of the winter storm predicted to hit our area tonight. It is estimated that the storm will dump somewhere in the area of 7-13 inches of the white stuff through the end of the day tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 28.
The first answers that question have just rolled in.
Hartford Area Schools have just announced they will be closed “due to forecasted inclement weather.”
Grafton School District in Ozaukee County is also closed tomorrow, Monday. No classes, activities or events will be taking place.
Slinger School District has announced it will be closed Monday, Jan. 28.
Kettle Moraine Lutheran in Jackson is canceling after-school activities Monday, January 28, due to the impending weather conditions.
West Bend School District is closed on Monday, Jan. 28.
Southeastern Wisconsin is under a winter storm warning that goes into effect tonight, Jan. 27, at 9 p.m. and runs through 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28. The wind chill advisory previously issued for the area has, however, expired.
