July 2, 2026 – Fond du Lac Co., Wi – Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric J. Toney said Bradley Hartmann made his initial appearance on July 1, 2026, after being charged with 3 counts of Terrorist Threats and 4 counts of Unlawful Use of the Telephone. The charges stem from alleged threats the defendant made on June 28, 2026, in which he threatened to kill a high ranking Wisconsin Executive Office official and their family. The official is based in Madison, WI. Judge Christenson set cash bond at $15,000 and the next hearing is scheduled for July 23, 2026. The defendant is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty.

District Attorney Toney said, “America has witnessed horrific acts of political violence in recent years, and we know political violence is not a Democrat or Republican issue, it’s a societal issue, which will never be tolerated in America. We will protect our public and elected officials, regardless of what political party they may belong to and we will hold those accountable that seek to disrupt or impair government operations.”

The first voicemail from Hartmann is below. Note the language can be disturbing in nature.

“VICTIM 1 you fucking piece of shit. You wanna fucking get the gays and lesbians over from Sheboygan. If I ever see you I’m going to fucking kill you, you fucking piece of shit. You are the fucking worst (redacted) in the fucking state ever. I will fucking kill you if I find you, you fucking bitch. Resign, Trump 24 you fucking dipshit. I will fucking find you, I will fucking kill you. Why are fucking gays and lesbians any more different than fucking straight people, you piece of shit. Yea call the cops on me I dare you, you fucking piece of shit.”

Another Hartmann message: “You better protect VICTIM 1 right now cause I left a very good message on his voicemail. I’m going to find him and I’m going to fucking kill him.”

This case is being investigated by the Fond du Lac Police Department, with assistance from the State Capitol Police.

Hartmann’s next court appearance is July 23, 2026 at 9 a.m.   As part of court record he is to have no contact with Governors Evers or any event he will be attending.
