March 25, 2024 – Fond du Lac Co., WI – On Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 10:14 p.m., the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a call of a two vehicle motor vehicle crash on CTH B east of CTH K in the Township of Eden.
The initial caller indicated a lone occupant in one vehicle did not appear to be breathing and was trapped inside of the vehicle.
Fond du Lac County deputies along with a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper, Eden Fire Department and first responders, and two paramedic units from the City of Fond du Lac where dispatched to the scene.
Personnel were able to free the trapped individual and began life saving measures.
The 61-year-old Eden man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner’s Office. Three persons from the second vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Investigation showed the 61 year-old Eden man was westbound on CTH B and lost control of his vehicle on a portion of roadway which was snow covered at the time. His vehicle entered the eastbound lane of traffic when it was struck by the second vehicle.
Neither alcohol nor speed were contributing factors in the crash. At this time the names of the involved are not being released as the investigation is ongoing.
