August 7, 2023 – West Bend, WI – At 2:07 p.m. on Monday, August 7, 2023, West Bend Police and Fire were notified that a construction crew damaged a gas line in the area of Washington Street and Service Dr.

At this time there are no injuries and no fire has occurred. All eastbound and westbound traffic on Highway 33/Washington Street is being diverted between 7th Avenue and Veterans Avenue until WE Energies is able to disconnect the damaged gas line.
Please avoid Highway 33 in the downtown area until the gas line has been turned off.
