Germantown School District Superintendent resigns

June 17  2026 – Germantown, Wi – During the Tuesday, June 16, 2026, Germantown School Board meeting Superintendent Chris Reuter resigned effective June 30, 2026.

Germantown School District Board of Education President Russell Ewert issued the following statement.

At its June 16, 2026, meeting, the Germantown Board of Education accepted the resignation of Superintendent Chris Reuter, effective June 30, 2026.

On behalf of the board, we thank Dr. Reuter for his service and dedication to the Germantown School District, our schools, and our students.

Since April, Teaching and Learning Director Jake Misiak and Human Resources Director Martin Castro have served as interim co-superintendents and will continue to do so until the board is able to determine next steps at its Tuesday, June 23, 2026, meeting.

We appreciate the continued support of our families, staff, and community members as we move forward.
