Jim Ulickey has been a part of the GSC for 18 years. Since starting in 1988 Ulickey has been head coach, assistant coach, manager, and an active parent volunteer.

Germantown Soccer Club has always been a volunteer-driven organization relying on parents and the commitment of people in the community.

The number of young boys and girls who play for GSC has increased greatly over time. “The future for this club is going to be phenomenal,” said Ulickey.

Germantown Soccer Club is continuously doing more for kids and coaches providing opportunities for them to grow.

Germantown Soccer Club starts at U6 allowing young athletes to get touches on the ball and practice with other age groups. The club also offers easy access to seven soccer fields in Germantown.

GSC also offers to teach former members and others about coaching.  “On a soccer field, you have to know and think ahead,” said Ulickey. “What are you going to do before you get the ball, and when you get the ball.”

Ulickey said, being able to anticipate the outcomes to reach your goals is a valuable skill both on and off the field.
