July 23, 2026 – Fond du Lac Co., Wi – On Wednesday July 22, 2026 at approximately 3:09 p.m. the Fond du Lac County Communication center took a call of a one vehicle accident on CTH V near Lime Road in the Township of Eden.
Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office along with Eden Fire Department and Eden First Responders arrived on scene and began treatment of those injured inside the vehicle.
Sheriff’s Office deputies confirmed there was one operator and three passengers in the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, a 29-year-old male from Fond du Lac, was transported from the scene by ambulance to SSM St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac for treatment of minor injuries.
Two of the passengers, an 8-year-old male from Fond du Lac, and a 15-year-old female, from Campbellsport, were also transported by ambulance to SSM St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac for treatment of minor injuries.
The third passenger in the vehicle was transported from the scene by ThedaStar Air Medical Helicopter to Children’s Hospital Wisconsin. Shortly after arrival at Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee the third passenger was pronounced deceased. This passenger was an 11-year-old female from North Fond du Lac.
The investigation shows the minivan, which was transporting the three children, was northbound on CTH V. The minivan lost control, crossed the centerline, entered the west ditch area where it struck an embankment and became airborne.
The minivan overturned several times coming to rest in the west ditch of CTH V.
Assisting on the scene was Campbellsport Ambulance, City of Fond du Lac Ambulance, ThedaStar Medical Helicopter, Wisconsin State Patrol and Fond du Lac County Highway Department. CTH V was closed between CTH K and CTH B for approximately 5 hours.
The crash remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office. No names will be released at this time.
