The 4th annual Barton Day is Saturday and motorists driving down Barton Avenue could see some of the locals sprucing up the streets.
There was a final organizational meeting Wednesday at Sandy’s Barton Cafe as local business owners went through a final checklist that included 350 brats, cases of water, and a rundown of entertainment including Four Wheel Drive, Joey & Cookie, Ozaukee County Jam Band, Rhonda Schmidt and Kenny Brandt.
Raffle baskets were reviewed and some of the selections will include a promotional golf package from West Bend Lakes and a special Straight Outta Barton gift basket that includes Old Towne Barton Bourbon, a Barton mug, Old Towne Barton baseball hat and a Straight Outta Barton t-shirt autographed by American Idol Taylor Hicks.
There will be super heroes and princesses for the kids, games, prizes and a bounce house.
Joker’s 5 Bar & Grill will have Bob Bonefant and a Bags Tourney and St. Mary’s Parish will be having a polka Mass at 4:30 p.m. with sandwiches and a silent auction to follow.
