4th annual Hike to Mary and Feast Day Mass on May 24, 2021 at Holy Hill | By Steve Tennies

Washington Co., WI –   In the event that the Holy Spirit + may be leading you or anyone you know to join us on Monday, May 24  … feel more than free to spread the Good Word far and wide.
Hike to Mary
We are again blessed this year to have the Millennial Catholic Gentlemen (JP2 Men’s Group) as our primary sponsor.
By the grace of our Loving Lord, we hope and trust we will all make this beautiful and challenging Marian pilgrimage hike at a pace in order to worship together at our special 3 p.m. Feast Day Mass (and sung Divine Mercy Chaplet immediately following) in the Shrine Chapel at Holy Hill.
As you may already know, a very special spiritual bonus this year is that May 24 is also the Feast of Our Lady, Help of Christians, the Patroness of the National Shrine of Holy Hill.

Beatæ Mariæ Virginis, Ecclesiæ Matris, ora pro nobis! +

Brotherly / humbly yours in our Risen Lord Jesus + T +

Virgin Mary, one and all!
Hike to Mary

… an annual pilgrimage hike celebrating the recently-proclaimed Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, on Monday, May 24, 2021.

(First proclaimed in 2018, this Marian Memorial is always celebrated on the Monday after Pentecost Sunday.)

Who:You, and whoever else is led by the Holy Spirit to show up for this holy adventure. Spread the word!

What: 11-mile pilgrimage/Rosary hike on the Ice Age National Scenic Trail.

When and where: Leaving from the Community Park parking lot in Slinger, WI (128 Kettle Moraine Drive, North, Slinger, WI 53086) at 8:00 am, with opening prayer in front of nearby St. Peter Catholic Church, hike starting there at 8:30 am “rain or shine,” and finishing with a special 3 pm  Memorial Mass at the Basilica of Holy Hill — National Shrine of Mary, Help of Christians (1525 Carmel Road, Hubertus 53033). Fr. Jude Peters, OCD will be celebrating, followed by the singing of the beautiful Divine Mercy Chaplet. The Mass will be held in the Shrine Chapel, which has a capacity of approximately 35 people. (Please have a facemask along for use at the Mass.)

Why: To grow closer to our Lord Jesus Christ +, through His Church and the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, both His Mother and ours (… and to enjoy the good, prayerful company of your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ… and to receive a special prayer card designed just for this 4th annual hike).
How to prepare:Wear weather-appropriate clothing and good hiking boots/shoes, and bring plenty of water and snacks for the journey. A small first aid kit and mosquito/tick repellent is advised just to be safe, and a convenient change of clothes for Mass is recommended too.
Please RSVP to the phone number or email
address below. Also, if you would like return transportation back to Slinger , we will do our best to accommodate. Please note: This hike can be strenuous at times, due to the hills, terrain and conditions on the Ice Age Trail.
