West Bend, WI – State Assembly Rep. Rick Gundrum (R-Slinger) presented the Hometown Hero Award on the floor at the capitol in Madison.
I was happy to honor Captain Ken Asselin of the West Bend Fire Department with the Hometown Hero Award for the 58th Assembly District during the floor session.
Captain Asselin has been one of the most dedicated first responders in West Bend.
He goes above and beyond when it comes to educating others about fire safety. His work includes participating in monthly fire prevention radio shows and installing smoke detectors for those who need them.
