April 24, 2023 – Town of Addison, WI – On Monday April 24, 2023, at approximately 10:40 a.m. the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a house fire in the 5800 block of Hillcrest Drive in the Town of Addison. The homeowner reported smoke was coming out of the basement and everyone was out of the residence.
The Allenton Fire Department was paged and quickly upgraded the fire to the working still level. The following Fire Departments were paged to assist: Hartford; St. Lawrence; Kohlsville; West Bend; Slinger; and Theresa.

Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded and upon arrival of the first deputy, fire could be seen coming from the dryer vent area with heavy smoke coming from the structure.
On arrival of the second deputy a Fire Suppression Tool (FST) was deployed into the basement of the structure, knocking down a portion of the fire. Upon arrival of the Allenton Fire Department command vehicle, a second FST was deployed into the structure.
The structure fire was brought under control, containing the fire to a laundry room and a bedroom above. The residence sustained severe heat, smoke, and water damage but remained intact.
Hillcrest Drive was closed to traffic for approximately two hours. There were no reported injuries to fire personnel as a result of the fire. There is no damage estimate at this time.
