Obituary | Joseph Stanga, 88, of Wautoma

January 12, 2021 – Wautoma, WI – Joseph Stanga, 88, of Wautoma passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Ascension Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh.

He is the beloved husband of Rosa. Loving dad of Pierangelo (Jill) and Susie Stanga. Proud grandpa of Stephanie (Tom Bacon), Amanda (Aaron) Crass, Olivia (Zach) Snobl and Marc (Hannah) Stanga. Adoring great grandpa of Ada Jo Crass. Also survived by other relatives and friends.

Joseph came to the United States in 1945 with his mother Agnese joining his father Pietro.

After high school graduation Joseph then went on to join the United States Army where he proudly served during the Korean War.

Following the war he joined his father in the family business as a cheese maker at the Stanga Cheese Corporation and eventually after his fathers passing took over the business. After a long distance relationship he married his wife of 60 years on June 25, 1960.

A visitation will take place at Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St., Hartford on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral at 12 p.m. Interment will follow in St. John Catholic Church Cemetery, Rubicon.
