West Bend, WI – The West Bend West Spartans took on their cross-hall “neighbor,” West Bend East, and walked away with a clean sweep. JV 1 won 25-20, 25-19, and 25- 18.

West played hard every point reaching for the victory. The Spartans were a bit antsy at first because of the tension between the schools.
The rivalry created motivation and excitement for the players. Samatha Kelly had some great shots at line with 11 kills and Kennedy Deppert had an amazing cut shot.
West played scrappy, with East having us on our toes.

The Spartans had great serving from Haylee Johnson with 3 ace serves, Eloise Hughes had 30 assists, and Elin Winkler with 15 digs. This team fought hard to beat its biggest rivals West Bend East.

The Spartans are 5 – 0 in the Glacier Trails Conference. WBW next match is Tuesday, October 14 at Kettle Moraine Lutheran with a 5:30 p.m. start time.
