“I selected Ken Reiser for the First Responder of the Year Award because he has dedicated his whole life to serving his community. In addition to his volunteer service with the Slinger Fire Department, he also spent time with the Allenton Fire Department, including as their fire chief. Ken’s work in his community goes far beyond his volunteer fire service. His community service includes President of the Slinger-Allenton Rotary Club, serving as President of the Board of Directors of Honours, Inc., serving on the Board of Directors at Forte Bank, and serving as Chairman of the Slinger Police Commission. We are truly blessed to have Ken in Slinger and he was certainly deserving of the 2023 First Responder of the Year Award.”

First Responders Day

Ken Reiser was honored with many other first responders across Wisconsin during yesterday’s floor session. The ceremony was attended by his wife Marilyn Reiser, Slinger Village President Scott Stortz, and his wife Misty Stortz. In addition to being honored on the floor, he also received a citation from Representative Gundrum and Senator Duey Stroebel (R-Saukville).
