The team started the day performing their “traditional” routine in the extremely talented Large Varsity division. KML had an energetic performance with clean tumbling and a creative dance. The team earned a 5th place finish in a field of outstanding teams.

The team concluded their day performing their national award-winning Game Day routine. The loud and energetic crowd helped the team perform with joy and confidence, earning the highest overall score for the division, regardless of team size, and their 12th straight Game Day State Championship.

The program has been blessed to earn a total of 18 State Championships (in the traditional and game day divisions) since 2002.

This concluded an amazing season for the Chargers Cheer Team, who also participated in the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) National High School Cheerleading Championships (NHSCC) at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, FL, February 9-12, 2024.  The team advanced to FINALS for the first time in program history and earned a Bronze Medal finish in their Game Day division.

In addition to the team awards, we are proud to share that seniors, Julia Balza and Katelyn Pfundtner were named to the 2024 WACPC All-State Team. The athletes submitted a video of an individually choreographed routine highlighting their cheer skills and technique to be considered for this honor.

All the KML cheerleaders are thankful to their parents and supporters for the encouragement and prayers throughout the season. They are also extremely thankful to our Lord and Savior for blessing all their endeavors! To God be the Glory!
