Kewaskum Police recognize officer Kevin Kohn

December 20, 2022 – Kewaskum, WI – Kewaskum Police Chief Tom Bishop recognized officer Kevin Kohn during a Village Board meeting this week. Kohn was honored for his 22 years of service.

“Officer Kevin Kohn started with the Kewaskum Police Department in January 2001 and served our community for over 21 years,” said Bishop.

“Kevin served as the department’s Firearm’s Instructor, DAAT Instructor, Vehicle Contacts Instructor, CCW Instructor, Weapons Armorer, Field Training Officer, School Resource Officer and DARE Officer. Kevin, unfortunately due to medical reasons, had to retire from our department this year.”

Kohn has been a much-loved officer in the small community. It was Monday, January 31, 2022 when the Kewaskum Police Chief Tom Bishop broke the news Officer Kevin Kohn had suffered a major stroke.

“It is my honor to present Officer Kevin J Kohn with this marble plaque thanking him for his year of service to our community,” said Bishop.

In the coming weeks the Village of Kewaskum will swear in its first female police officer.
