Teen from Kewaskum reported missing and endangered

January 4, 2021- Kewaskum, WI – UPDATE: Kewaskum Police Chief Tom Bishop said Monday afternoon, January 4 that Elle Schickert has been found in West Bend and will be returned to her family shortly.
Elle Kiana Schickert, 17, was last seen by her grandparents leaving a home by vehicle in Kewaskum 9:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day. That vehicle was later recovered in West Bend.
Kewaskum Police said Schickert has been missing since January 2, 2021. “It sounds like she has distanced herself from family and friends,” said Officer Steven Nurkala.

Elle withdrew a significant amount of cash from her bank account, but has no credit or debit cards. Her phone has been turned off for the most part, but she has occasionally turns it on for very quick texts or to post on social media, but all attempts to ping her current locations have been unsuccessful.
Elle is 5 feet tall, weighs 110-pounds, has long brown hair with blonde highlights and blue eyes. She does have scars on her right thumb, and a raspberry birthmark on her upper left leg. She was last seen wearing a black floral print shirt, a dark sweatshirt, black jeans w/holes in the knees, and black “Vans” brand tennis shoes.
“Her grandparents don’t know much and right now we have little information,” said Nurkala.
Police said Elle lives with her grandparents. This is the first time she has been reported missing.
