West Bend, WI – American Legion Post 36 in cooperation with the West Bend Memorial Library will be presenting a library display to honor and thank local veterans.
This is in conjunction with Veterans Day, November 11. The display will be up from November 1 through November 8.
The public will have the opportunity to express its appreciation by visiting the display and writing a thank you note to a veteran.
Thank you notes are then placed in the gift bag provided. Paper and writing utensils will be available.
All thank you notes will be held confidential. Notes will be distributed to veterans living in the West Bend area.
“This is a great way for the public to show their appreciation for veterans at this time,” said Jay Anderson, American Legion Commander. “We welcome their participation.”
