I write to alert people about the primary election Tuesday, August 11. With the retirement of 5th district Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner, we have an open seat with two Republican candidates- Cliff DeTemple and Scott Fitzgerald (long time state senator) seeking to fill it. As part of the 5th district Caucus, even I was not aware until a few weeks ago that Senator Scott Fitzgerald had a primary opponent. Apparently, Scott Fitzgerald is assumed to be “the candidate” to fill Sensenbrenner’s open seat, but should he be?
I have been following WI politics for a long time. I have consistently been disappointed with Senator Fitzgerald “Fitz” and his apathy toward true conservatism, and his go along to get along mentality. To be honest, I see no passion in him to make our state a better place. It seems to be just a job for him. His claim to fame is supporting Act 10, which was an awesome thing, but it is disappointing that he seems to be living off that good Act from nearly 10 years ago to somehow prove to others he is conservative.
On his website he states defunding Planned Parenthood is an accomplishment, but the truth is Planned Parenthood has had millions funneled to them yearly through the state of WI as “Fitz” led the state senate.
I met Cliff DeTemple and found passion in him. His website is so comprehensive that you can find out more about him there. Please check him out. He seems to be a true patriot, pro-life, pro Constitution, and has lots of energy. I found in him the qualities needed in these desperate times our nation is facing!

In my opinion, Cliff DeTemple is the Donald Trump candidate while Scott Fitzgerald is the George W Bush candidate. A primary election is the time to choose the best candidate, so check them out and get out and vote!
I will choose a businessman instead of a career politician. Vote DeTemple in the primary August 11.
