July 14, 2019 – Kewaskum, WI – Chief Tom Bishop of the Kewaskum Police Department and Chief Ryan Vossekuil of the Jackson Police Department attended the Chief Executive Officer Seminar on Missing and Exploited Children in Washington, D.C. this week. The training was hosted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and is designed for Police Chiefs and Sheriffs to familiarize them with issues related to missing and exploited children including effective policies and practices, emerging trends, technical assistance, and sex-trafficking. The cost of the training, airfare, and lodging was covered by NCMEC.
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation whose mission is to help find missing children, reduce child sexual exploitation, and prevent child victimization. NCMEC works with families, victims, private industry, law enforcement, and the public to assist with preventing child abductions, recovering missing children, and providing services to deter and combat child sexual exploitation.
