November 4, 2025 – West Bend, Wi – On November 2, 2025 at 12:32 p.m. West Bend Police received a call regarding dead cats found in a Dumpster in the 400 block N. 9th Avenue.
The investigation revealed a 26-year-old West Bend man had placed eight cats in a sealed plastic container and placed it out by the Dumpster.
Seven cats were found deceased, and one cat was still alive. The living cat was brought to an emergency veterinary clinic.
The investigation revealed the man, and his 23-year-old girlfriend had a total of 11 cats in the residence. The woman had been out of town and returned to find the man admitted to disposing of the cats as they could not afford to feed them any longer.
The man was placed in jail on seven counts of mistreatment to animals causing death.
Guess it was too much trouble for him to seek help at the humane society or putting a post on FB. No, instead he decided killing them was the best thing. I’m not a vengeful person, but I hope he suffers for hurting them!
