Man convicted of homicide in Chicago arrested in West Bend

OBSTRUCTING AN OFFICER / FALSE IDENTIFICATION / WANTED FELON – 1300 Block of East Kilbourn Ave.
On December 10, 2016, at 8:52 PM, West Bend officers investigated a report of a man wanted by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) living at a residence in the 1300 block of E. Kilbourn Avenue. Officers located the 31-year-old male at the home. The man gave officers a false name and a false United States Permanent Resident Identification card. The investigation determined that the man had been previously convicted of homicide in Chicago, served several years in prison and was subsequently deported back to Mexico. The man was arrested for a Federal Felony Warrant – Immigration Violation, Obstructing an Officer, and Possessing a False Identification Card.

OWI – 2ND OFFENSE – 1810 West Washington Street
On December 10, 2016, at 2:13 AM, a female driver struck the rear of another vehicle in the drive-thru at the McDonald’s Restaurant and left the scene. As officers were responding to the crash a passenger in the female’s vehicle called police reporting the female driver was speeding, driving erratically, swerving between traffic lanes, and refusing to stop. An officer located the vehicle at the driver’s residence, and found the driver hiding in the home. When the officer spoke to the driver the officer observed signs the driver was intoxicated. The 50 year old West Bend woman failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .175% in a PBT, and was arrested for OWI 2nd Offense, and Operating after Revocation. Her license was revoked for the previous OWI she was convicted of.

BURGLARY – 800 Block of South Main Street
On December 9, 2016, at 4:50 PM, an employee at Pak N Ship heard the back door of the business close. When the employee checked she noticed a purse was missing from a back counter. The purse was found outside the back door of the business but cash was taken from the purse.

RETAIL THEFT – 1515 West Paradise Drive
On December 9, 201, at 3:39 PM, an employee of Walmart reported observing two subjects concealing merchandise in their pants, leaving the store without paying for the items and getting into a vehicle in the parking lot. Responding officers located and stopped the vehicle as it was attempting to leave the parking lot. A Milwaukee woman, 31, a two 20-year-old Milwaukee men were arrested for retail theft. The stolen merchandise was recovered from the vehicle. The investigation determined the individuals were also involved in thefts and fraudulent returns at the Walmart in Germantown.
