March 16, 2021 – West Bend, WI – On March, 10, 2021 a citizen called the West Bend Police Department and reported a 12-year-old girl stated she was dating a 20-year-old man.
West Bend detectives investigated and identified the 20-year-old “boyfriend” as a man from Chippewa County. Investigators learned the man and the 12-year-old girl met on social media. The man drove to West Bend, met the 12-year-old girl, and engaged in sexual activity with the girl.
On March 10, 2021, investigators from Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department arrested the 20-year-old man.
West Bend detectives transported the man back to West Bend. The man is presently in the Washington County Jail.
He is charged with 1st Degree Sexual Assault of a Child and Use of Computer to Facilitate Child Sex Crime.
