January 23, 2025 – Dodge Co., WI – On Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at approximately 7:55 p.m. Dodge County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on US Highway 151 approximately .5 miles south of State Highway 73 in the township of Elba, county of Dodge, state of Wisconsin.
Preliminary investigation showed a 2003 GMC Envoy was traveling southbound on US Highway 151 when it lost control and slid through the median and into the northbound lanes of traffic on US Highway 151.
A 2022 Freightliner Semi Tractor Trailer was traveling north on US Highway 151 and collided with the 2003 GMC Envoy.
The driver and sole occupant of the 2003 GMC Envoy, a 45-year-old male from Deerfield Wisconsin was ejected from the vehicle and received serious life threatening injuries. He was transported from the scene by Lifestar EMS to UW Madison Hospital.
The driver and sole occupant of the 2022 Freightliner, a 46-year-old male from Bondurant Iowa was uninjured as a result of the crash and was later released at the scene.
Assisting at the scene was The Dodge County Emergency Response Team, The Columbus Police Department, The Beaver Dam Police Department, The Beaver Dam Fire Department, The Columbus Fire Department, Lifestar EMS, and The Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
This crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
