Mayville man, 56, med flighted following motorcycle crash in Dodge County | By Sheriff Dale Schmidt

September 7, 2026 – Dodge Co., Wi – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a serious-injury crash involving a motorcycle and motorized tricycle (three-wheeled motorcycle/trike), which occurred at approximately 12:28pm Monday, September 7, 2026, on County Highway FW in the town of Westford WI.
As a result of this crash, a 56-year-old Mayville man was flown via UW Med Flight from the scene.
The initial investigation has shown a 2024 Harley Davidson trike, and a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle were traveling north on County Hwy FW, traveling together. The trike attempted a right turn into a parking lot. The motorcycle was following, and rear ended the trike, ejecting the driver from the motorcycle. As a result of the crash, the driver of the 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle suffered serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to UW Hospital.
The driver of the 2024 Harley Davidson tricycle was identified as a 76-year-old man from Mayville Wisconsin. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Waupun Memorial Hospital by Randolph EMS.
Neither rider was wearing a helmet. Lack of helmet use was a factor in the seriousness of the 56-year-old man’s injuries.
Also responding to and assisting at the crash were the Fox Lake Fire Department, Fox Lake EMS, Randolph EMS, Beaver Dam Paramedics, UW Med Flight and the Dodge County Emergency Response Team. Currently, this crash remains under investigation by members of the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
