March 12, 2022 – Hartford, WI – The Hartford Police Department hosted its 14th annual Mini Academy. A total of 748 officers from 104 departments attended the weeklong training.
The Hartford Police Citizen Academy Alumni group, organized by Administrative Assistant Patrice Moratz, volunteered behind the scenes to keep the event running smoothly over the five days; their efforts were invaluable.
The training included sessions on de-escalation, civil unrest, drone programs and operations, 4th Amendment legal updates, and supervisory updates.
The Mini Academy offers low-cost training in a high-class venue presented by experienced, knowledgeable, renowned instructors.
The proceeds from the Mini Academy are put directly back into the police department to help fund training needs.
