Motorcycle crash from August 2019 turns fatal in neighboring Dodge County

September 19, 2019 – Town of Herman, WI – A woman involved in a motorcycle accident in August 2019 in neighboring Dodge County has died from injuries suffered in that accident.

According to the Dodge County Sheriff on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 3:03 p.m., the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a single motorcycle crash on STH 33 approximately 0.2 west of CTH AY in the Township of Herman.

Crash Investigation on scene shows a motorcycle occupied by two were traveling eastbound on STH 33 lost control when the rear tire of the motorcycle blew causing both occupants to be ejected from the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, 58-year-old James Fellner from Beaver Dam who was not wearing a helmet, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. He was flown via UW Med-Flight to the UW Madison Hospital.

The passenger, 46-year-old Dawn Fellner from Beaver Dam who was not wearing a helmet, suffered serious life-threatening injuries. She was also flown via UW Med-Flight to the UW Madison Hospital. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the crash.

Assisting on scene were the Iron Ridge Fire/First Responders, Allenton Fire/EMS, West Bend Paramedics, Beaver Dam Paramedics and two UW Med-Flight Helicopters.
