Museum of Wisconsin Art Winter Week – December 28 – 31 | By Jennifer Turner

West Bend, WI  – The Museum of Wisconsin Art (MOWA) announcing the return of its popular Winter Week on Wednesday–Saturday, December 28–31. Each day will feature a different art-making project and art activities ideal for the entire family.

“If people are looking for fun activities to do with kids, parents, grandparents, and friends visiting for the holidays, Winter Week offers something for everyone,” said Courtney Hinder, Curator of Youth Education at MOWA. “Visitors can explore with rich culture of Wisconsin art and have fun with special all-ages activities throughout the week.”

During Winter Week, the museum offers drop-in art making daily from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Inspired by the artwork of exhibiting artists, a different project each day is fun for all ages and all levels of experience.

At 1 p.m. guests are invited to attend a tour or talk to learn about the art on view or a wellness topic. In addition, visitors can end their visit with a free hot chocolate and snacks from the Member Appreciation Hot Chocolate Bar.

MOWA gift of art

Winter Week is free for existing MOWA members. Families can join for $50 and individuals for as low as $15. With MOWA’s “everyone’s a member” model, an affordable annual membership with access to exhibitions and programs for an entire year replaces single-day admission.

The Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend is open Wednesday through Sunday, 9:30–4:00 and closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
