Jan. 8, 2018 – Fond du Lac Co., WI – On Jan. 4, 2018, the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a report of a one-vehicle crash on County Highway K north of USH 45, Town of Empire.
Initial reports indicated the vehicle traveled off the roadway and over turned pinning the operator in the vehicle.
Fond du Lac City Ambulance along with Eden Fire Department and deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office responded.
At the scene, the driver of the vehicle, Dianne Majerus, 64, from Fond du Lac was pronounced dead.
There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
The Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner ruled the victim’s death was due to a medical condition and not as a result of injuries suffered in the crash. Therefore, this crash will not be counted as a traffic fatality for statistical purposes.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office,
