Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County celebrates National Volunteer Week | By Melanie Gonring

Washington Co., WI – There’s never a dull moment at Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County. This year, the organization celebrates 20 years of connecting seniors to caring volunteers, ensuring that our senior neighbors can remain independent for as long as possible.

In 2024 alone, 265 volunteers served 675 clients and logged 17,996 volunteer hours driving seniors to medical appointments, grocery shopping, doing yard work, delivering for area food pantries and Meals on Wheels, providing friendly visits, and much more.

We are proud of the impact we’ve made over the past two decades, which would not be possible without our incredible volunteers. Speaking of which…

National Volunteer Week is April 20-26. We’re celebrating the amazing folks who make our mission possible all week long. Current volunteers are encouraged to stop by the West Bend office anytime next week to enter a special drawing by sharing their volunteer story. On Wednesday, April 23, we’ll be serving up sweet treats made by yours truly as a thank you. Watch our Facebook page for special posts all week long.
