January 18, 2021 – West Bend, WI – Steve Thiry has been hired as the City of West Bend’s new library director for the West Bend Community Memorial Library.
“I always thought West Bend would be a great community for my family,” Thiry said. “We have built lasting friendships with people who share similar values in the West Bend community.”
Thiry last worked as library director since May 2017 at the Kimberly-Little Chute Library.
Prior to that Thiry was at Sparta Free Library for one year, Chilton Public Library for 5.5 years, and nearly two years at Kiel Public Library.
Thiry replaces Amy Salminen who left in 2020 to return to Michigan.
Thiry begins his role as director Tuesday, January 19, 2021.
