April 11, 2023 – West Bend, WI – On April 10, the West Bend School Board approved the hiring of Nathan Pollatz as principal of Green Tree Elementary School.
Pollatz will take over as principal on July 5.
Pollatz was most recently the principal of Dr. Jones Elementary School in the Racine Unified School District. While principal at Dr. Jones Elementary, he developed and collaborated with staff to create personalized instructional growth plans and coordinated professional growth opportunities for staff members. Prior to serving as principal at Dr. Jones Elementary, Pollatz was the assistant principal at Gilmore Fine Arts Middle School in Racine for five years.
Before he was an administrator, Pollatz taught history at the high school level for six years in Milwaukee and Racine.
Pollatz earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and his administration licensure from Concordia University in Mequon.
The principal position at Green Tree opened when Jennifer Potter became executive principal of West Bend East and West High Schools in November 2022. Since that time, John Graf, curriculum and instruction program administrator for the West Bend School District, has served as interim principal at Green Tree.
