August 22, 2021 – Allenton, WI – There was a surprise start to this year’s Allenton Parade… see video below.
And then the surprises kept coming as participants and viewers alike toughed it out despite a downpour, of course a train interruption, and then the skies cleared and kids went home with enough candy to keep local dentists busy for the next century.

There were dark skies to the west when the parade kicked off at 4 p.m. Around 4:20 p.m. the rain started and picked up steam. “Oh come on….” said announcer Ron Naab. “Are you kidding me…”
The kids didn’t seem to mind. Some people packed up their chairs and went to huddle under an overhang or in their vehicle.
Those in the parade… kept marching, including the stilt walkers and the bands.
