Saukville, Wi – When NorthShore Classical Academy opens its doors in Saukville, Wisconsin in September 2027, it will do so as a junior and senior high school, welcoming seventh and eighth graders as well as the originally planned high school students.
The private, non-profit school is adding the junior high school grades to ensure students are prepared for their high school years and to better accommodate families.
“We’ll be able to expose our students to a classical education two years earlier,” said Sarah Foster, director of programming and community connections. “They will become familiar with the teacher-led approach to instruction. The curriculum will prepare them for the more rigorous academics of high school. That will ensure that they enter their high school years ready to succeed.”
The expansion also responds to families’ needs.

“Many of the parents who are looking into NorthShore Classical Academy are planning well ahead,” Foster said. “High school for their oldest child may be two or more years away. We will be able to serve these families sooner. And when there are younger siblings, too, it will be easier for the parents to be involved and engaged with the school if their kids are in the same place.”
NorthShore Classical Academy will deliver an exceptional classical education designed to develop the whole person. It will equip students with knowledge, confidence and virtue, inspiring and challenging them with rigorous academics, exposure to the world of work, and a dedication to student civic service, love of country and strong moral character.
The content-rich classical curriculum will emphasize the core disciplines of literature, math, history, civics and the sciences, with attention to music, art, physical education and foreign languages. Students will also receive practical, real-world career preparation to expose them to the wide range of opportunities available and empower them to make the choice that is right for them.
