Obit: Beverly J. Kober, 78, Kewaskum

Beverly J. Kober, 78, of Kewaskum, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016, at her home in Kewaskum with her family at her side.

She was born May 29, 1938, in Kewaskum, the daughter of the late Otto and Kathryn (nee Schlosser) Ramthun.  On June 29, 1957, Beverly was united in marriage to William Kober at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.  William preceded Beverly in death on January 1, 2016.

In her younger years Beverly started her working career at Amity Leather in West Bend.  She was instrumental in the start of the Holy Trinity Catholic Grade School hot lunch program.  Beverly was the food service coordinator at Holy Trinity for 25 years and a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Beverly enjoyed bowling and playing cards with friends, following Wisconsin sports, gardening, cooking, camping and traveling with Bill.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family from grandchildren’s sporting events/performances to family camping trips.

Those Beverly leaves behind to cherish her memory include three children, Barbara (Allen) Heberer of Kewaskum, Brian (Peggy) Kober of Kewaskum and Brenda (Tom) Herriges of the Town of Wayne; seven grandchildren, Crystal (Ian) Mulvanny, Candice Heberer, Clark Stamm, Tyler Stamm, Grace Kober, Rebecca (Nick) Krieser, and Kelsey Herriges; four great-grandchildren, Natalie Krieser, Liam Krieser, Edward Mulvanny and a great-grandson on the way; three brothers, Otto (Cheri) Ramthun of West Bend, David (Patti) Ramthun of the Town of Wayne and Bret (Jennifer) Warner of the Town of Ashford; a sister-in-law, Bernice Krueger of West Bend;  a step mother, Virginia Warner of West Bend, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband William, Beverly was preceded in death by a twin sister, Kathryn Ramthun; her parents-in-law, Christopher and Leona Kober; a step-father, Roy Warner; a sister-in-law, Betty (Ray) Mertzig and a brother-in-law, Norman Krueger.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Beverly will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum with Fr. Edwin Kornath officiating.  Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Lutheran Memorial Park in Kewaskum.

The Kober family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the “We Believe” Campaign of Holy Trinity Catholic Church are appreciated.
