Dec. 20, 2016 – West Bend, WI – David George Clauer, age 57, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2016 at The Kathy Hospice of West Bend. He was born on December 19, 1959 and raised in Elkhorn, WI to George and Charlotte (nee Sheldon) Clauer. He graduated from Elkhorn High School, class of 1978. He married Eileen (nee Moore) Clauer on July 31, 1982 in the city of Delevan. David loved being a grandpa “Papa”, golfing, fishing, traveling and woodworking. He enjoyed being a machinist throughout his working life, and he had spent the last 15 years at Alto Shaam.
David is survived by his 3 daughters, all from West Bend, Erin (Mike) Kuester, Kari (Jeff) Yaeger and Aimee (Brian) Block; grandchildren Alexis, Michael Jr. and Paige; step-grandchildren Alexis and Lukas; mother Charlotte Clauer, siblings Don (Kelly) Clauer of Janesville, Judy (Steve) Mueller of Elkhorn; siblings-in-law Ron (Cathy) Moore of Wausau, Jean (Jerry) Mortier of Rhinelander and Donald Moore of Delavan. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, close friends and other relatives.
David is preceded in death by his loving wife, Eileen, his dad Toby, brother Jon Clauer, mother-in-law Eleanore (Gary) Moore.
A Memorial Service will be at 5:00PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend, WI 53095). Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3:00PM until the time of the service (5:00PM). Memorials appreciated to the family.
