Obit: David H. Ward, 75, Kewaskum

57599cf8e50d4Dave was born on September 18, 1940 the son of the late Walter and Ethel (nee Kortbein) Ward and on August 7, 1976 he was united in marriage to Delores “Dee” Stump in Milwaukee.

Dave enjoyed reading, riding his Harley, wintering in St. Padre and traveling the Caribbean with Dee.  His favorite hobby was playing golf.  Dave was a long time member of Hon-e-Kor Country Club, Hon-e-Kor Senior Golf League, Ozaukee Senior Golf League, Thursday Harley Golf League and even worked in the pro shop at Hawthorne Hills.

Dave was also a member of St. Lucas Church in Kewaskum for over 15 years.

Those Dave leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 39 years, Dee; a son, Steve (Catherine) Ward of Dallas, TX; five grandchildren, Alexandra, Isabell, Andrew, Christian and Ethan Ward; a sister, Marge Buchholz of New Glarus; five sisters-in-law, Kay Brown of Streamwood, IL, Kathy Redington of Wonewoc, Marie (Tom) McDonnell of Lake Carroll, IL, Trisha Lehman of DeKalb, IL and Connie (Terry) Mottley of Park Ridge, IL; a brother-in-law, Mike Stump of Winslow, IL, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, Ron Buchholz, Dan Redington and Richard Stump and his parents-in-law Austin and Margaret (nee Kaufman) Stump.

A Funeral Service for Dave will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2016 at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St. in West Bend with Rev. Timothy Henning officiating.

The Ward family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.

The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Homes have been entrusted with Dave’s arrangements.
