Douglas V. Wisby of West Bend passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 at the age of 67 years. He was born on January 16, 1949 to the late Warren and Evelyn (nee Larsen) Wisby.
In 1971, he entered the United States Navy, serving until his discharge in 1976.
On September 22, 1990, he was united in marriage to Carol A. Nickel at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg. This past September, they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. He was very proud of his children and all of their accomplishments.
For many years, he worked as a systems programmer, until his retirement in 2011.
Doug was an avid Brewers and Packers fan. He also enjoyed tending to and caring for his yard.
Survivors include his wife Carol; 2 children Matthew and Michelle; 1 brother Mark; a cousin Kate (Chancy) Clark; 2 half-sisters Stephanie (Evan) Nissen and Karen (Britt) Bradford; 1 sister-in-law Mary Ann (William) Depies; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Evelyn (Harold) Green and Warren (Audra) Wisby.
At the family’s request, private services were held.
