Obit: Eunice J. Collins, 98, Kewaskum

Eunice J. Collins, 98, of Kewaskum, formerly of West Bend, died Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Kettle Moraine Gardens.
Eunice was born May 31, 1918, to the late Henry and Elsie (Schroeder) Hage, and married Donald Collins on July 3, 1937, in Milwaukee. They moved from Milwaukee to West Bend in 1951 when Don took a position as data processing manager at The West Bend Company.

Eunice was a wife, mother and homemaker for the majority of her life. She loved cooking, sewing, quilting, crafting, reading and gardening. She was a longtime member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in West Bend where she was an active volunteer.

She enjoyed traveling with Don to IBM conventions and vacationing with the rest of the family. Her main love was spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Eunice is survived by six children, Gary of Shawano, Leigh (Barbara) of Menomonee Falls, Kathleen Bockhop of Monticello, Christine (James) of Orlando, FL, Patricia (Gordon) Tonn of Kewaskum and Margaret (Craig) Sedgwick of Whitefish, MT, 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Eunice is further survived by her brother Warren (Olive) Hage, nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, and a grandchild, Stephen.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 7 from 1:00 until 1:45 P.M. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 1044 S. Silverbrook Dr, West Bend. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with inurnment at Washington County Memorial Park.

At the family’s request, memorials to the American Heart Association or the charity of the donor’s choice appreciated.
