Dec. 25, 2017 – West Bend, WI – Fred E. Richie, 92, of West Bend, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, December 23, 2017.
Fred was born on October 24, 1925 in Council Bluffs, IA to Fred and Eva (nee Griffin) Richie and was the first son of three boys. He married Rosalie (nee Andaloro) on September 20, 1947. She was, and continued to be the love of his life. He served in the United States Navy for two years. Fred worked for Pabst Brewery for over 50 years.
Fred is survived by his son David (Karen) Richie Sr. and his daughter Carole (Brad) Davis. He is further survived by his grandchildren David Richie Jr., Steven (Julie) Davis, Michael Richie, Scott (Kristen) Davis, Jennifer (Ryan) Jacquot, and 12 great-grandchildren. Especially important was Hailey Davis who was at his side every day. Preceded in death by his parents Fred and Eva, wife Rosalie and her parents Michael and Mary Andaloro, brothers Gerald and Walter Richie, brother-in-law Dominic and sister-in-law Santa Andaloro.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 27 from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m.
