Gertrude E. Pallowick (nee Primasing), 92, was born to eternal life on Monday, January 25, 2016.
She was born on October 4, 1923 in Milwaukee to the late John and Luella (nee Egleston) Primasing. She was united in marriage to Roger Pallowick on June 17, 1944 in Henderson, KY.
Shortly before June17, 1944, a young bride, Gertrude “Trudy” Primasing, traveled to Henderson, KY, to marry this handsome young soldier, in a simple ceremony before he shipped off to Europe. A devoted wife during their union of almost 71 years, Rod and Trudy were blessed with two children, Cheri Krieger, of Erin; and Chuck Pallowick of Fond du Lac.
During her 92 years Gertrude had many talents and hobbies. She played the organ, was a Girl Scout leader for many years and to her family & friends she was a master baker. Anything from her tasty Christmas cookies to beautiful cakes and pies for all occasions. She was an active & longtime member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Brown Deer, volunteering much of her time to help others.
Gertrude was not only known for her talent in baking, but also for her beautiful needlework. From a sewing machine to cross-stitch, Trudy loved to do it all. Being lifetime members of the Mid-Continent Railway Museum in North Freedom, WI, Gertrude and Roger spent a lot of time traveling. She always had an appreciation for nature. During their many camping trips and travel Bird watching was a true enjoyment she and Roger shared. And at home they cherished the companionship of their beloved pets over the years. A warm and loving mother and grandmother, to all of her family she will forever be in our hearts.
Those Gertrude left behind to cherish her memory include her two children, Cheri Krieger and Chuck Pallowick; seven grandchildren, Nicole (David) Priebe, Danielle (Jason) Cawley, Andrea (Matt) Barre, Tom (Sandy) Krieger, Michelle (Trevor) Morris, Jason (Katy) Schuff, and Jacob Pallowick; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; a cousin, Helen Rooney; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; two sisters, Alice Primasing and Dorothy (Edwin) Spoehr; brother, Lyle (Joan) Primasing; step-father, Archie Murphy.
