Mrs. Karen E. Corgiat, of Cedar Grove, formerly of Saukville, passed away Monday morning, August 29, 2016 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. She was 76 years old. Karen was born April 23, 1940 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Hilbert Mueller and Esther Lindert Mueller. On November 10, 1962 she was united in marriage with James Corgiat in Milwaukee. The couple raised their family in Saukville, where Karen was actively involved in her community, serving on committees and organizations. In her younger years, she modeled and enjoyed riding her horse Teddy. Karen enjoyed reading, traveling, and walking by the boardwalk in Sheboygan.
Karen is survived by her children: Steve of Fond du Lac, Laura (David) Corgiat-Strassburg of Las Vegas, NV, Bruce “Chuck” (Wendy) of Port Washington, Patrick (Sherri) of Oostburg and Jason (Janelle) of Belgium. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Aaron, Rachel, Brittney, Katlin, Wyatt, Caitlin, Sara, Andrew and Matthew, sisters Rita Tomasi of CO and Kay Voss of WI, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Hilbert Mueller and Esther Dauphin and her husband James.
A memorial gathering will be held from 4-7 pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington with a short prayer at 7 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Cedar Grove Library.
