Obit: Kenneth “Ken” C. Haack, 69, West Bend

Kenneth “Ken” C. Haack, 69, of West Bend, was called home on Monday, August 1, 2016, at Kathy Hospice in West Bend surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on January 15, 1947 to the late Alfred J. and Ruth E. (nee Zielesch) Haack in Milwaukee and on June 24, 1969, he was united in marriage to Delene “Dee” Haack in Milwaukee.

Ken served his country in the United States Army from 1966 until he was honorably discharged in 1971.  After his military service he worked for G.E. Medical Systems for 31 years before his retirement.

Ken enjoyed working on computers, programming his own games, flying gas powered planes, fishing, hunting, traveling, his Labrador retriever “JJ” and most importantly spending time with his family.  He was also an American Legion Member and a NRA member.

Those Ken leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 48 years, Dee; two children, Dawn Haack of Winter Haven, FL and Joseph (Becca) Haack of Lancaster; three grandchildren, Colin Heaney of Milwaukee and Christopher and Madison Haack of Lancaster; a sister, Elaine (friend Anna) Haack of West Allis; a sister-in-law, Nancy (Shawn) Lighvani of Racine; two brothers-in-law; Bill (Marcia) Rigden of Germantown and Mike (Diane) Rigden of Warm Springs, GA; an uncle, Chuck Zielesch of Milwaukee; a mother-in-law, Lola Mae Voelkel of Menomonee Falls, many cousins, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tom (Pat) Rigden.

A Memorial Service for Ken will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2016, at Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., in West Bend with Rev. Bill Dushek officiating.
