Obit: Laurie A. Koerber (nee Fochs), 65, St. Lawrence

Laurie A. Koerber (nee Fochs) age 65 of St. Lawrence, Wisconsin passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at The Kathy Hospice surrounded by her loving family.

 

Laurie was born on April 18, 1951 to Wilfrid (Lois) Fochs. She was united in marriage to Dennis Koerber on April 19, 1975 at St Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in West Bend.

 

Laurie was a postal carrier for the Hartford Post Office for over 30 years, she was an honorary member of the St. Lawrence Fire Department for 25 years, the Allenton Fire Department for 15 years, a member of “Stamping Up”, she enjoyed gardening, traveling, and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her pets. Laurie was a selfless person who always put others before herself and she made sure everyone was taken care of.

 

Laurie is survived by her beloved children, Kari (Mark) Bassett of Hamilton, OH, James (Ashlie) of Hartford, Michael (Amy) of Hartford, and Jill Koerber of Hartford; 5 grandchildren, Mason, Marissa, Aiden, Addyson, and Josephine; dear siblings, Martin (Janet) Fochs and Mark (Lynette) Fochs; brothers and sisters-in-law, Nancy (Jacob) Weinert and Diane (David) Drost, and her special dog Zoe. She is further survived by loved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Dennis, her parents-in-law, Alfred (Irene) Koerber.

 

Mass of Christian Burial for Laurie will be held on Tuesday October 25, 2016 at 7 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, (4886 Hwy 175, Hartford, WI 53027) with Fr. Davies Edassery officiating.  Family will greet relatives and friends at church on Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.

 

Interment in St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, St. Lawrence, WI.
