Ruby A. Zimmermann (nee Purgett), Ruby was born on June 8, 1930 in Owen, WI to Charles and Florence (nee Bergstrom) Purgett.
She attended Owen/Withee High School where she was valedictorian of her class and the high school prom queen.
She married the late Donald “Mutz” Zimmermann on June 4, 1949. Ruby and Don were the founders of D&H Builders Inc. in 1957, also Don Zimmermann Crane Service Inc., Sandy Point Resort, NorDon Mason Construction Inc., Thick and Thin Lumber Company, Sawmill Inn Restaurant, and Zimmermann’s Kettle Hills Golf Course, Ltd.
She was involved in many business and community functions which included, Germantown Senior Center, Richfield Business Association, Germantown Chamber of Commerce, Trinity Lutheran Church Ladies Aide.
She also was a member for 60 years, of Washington Co. Homemakers. Ruby’s focus on detail and work ethic were a driving force in all she was involved with. Her love of family and willingness to share in others’ joys and sorrows were a trademark trait.  Ruby loved raising her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ruby will be deeply missed by her children, Brian (Janeen), Dwight (Linda), Michele (Ray Fleszar), Scott (Barbara); grandchildren, Jason, Andria (Larry), Emily (Aaron), Hannah (Charles), Molly (Mike), Luke, and Adam; great-grandchildren, Jack, Sydney, Norah, Oscar, Ashton, Harper, Logan, Lily and Emilia; siblings; Katie Purgett (Eugene), Margie Purgett (Mahlon), Janet Sauer (Otto), John Kleinke (Diane), life long friend and partner Harold Leist, brother–in-law Art Luther, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, grandson Adam Norlander, Eugene Purgett, Mahlon Purgett, Diane Klienke, Otto Sauer, Agnes and Oliver Lutz, Audrey Luther.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 2nd at 12:00 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church (10729 W Freistadt Rd, Mequon, WI  53097) with Rev. Josh Russert presiding.  The visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM.  Interment will take place at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery following the service. Lunch will be served in the school gym. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity of Freistadt – Building Fund.
