Obit: Sarah Jane Furnner, 43, Cedarburg

Sarah J. Furnner (nee Corby), age 43, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016. She was born on March 10, 1973 in Oshkosh, WI to Matthew Corby and Ellen Buretta (nee Schneider). Sarah was united in marriage to Michael Furnner on November 21, 1996 in Fond Du Lac, WI.

Sarah attended Goodrich High School and graduated in 1991. After graduating, Sarah attended Moraine Park Technical College and then later received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. She worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital and Aurora Medical Center of Grafton. She was well-respected by her colleagues and conducted training in her field. She loved to hike and be outdoors near the water. Additionally, Sarah practiced yoga, was a beautiful decorator, had a very artistic eye and worked in various media. She enriched the lives of everyone she knew. Above all, Sarah was a great mother and her children were her priority in life.

Sarah is survived by her husband Michael, her three children Celeste (nee Doyle) (Doug) Dicka, Jack and Charlie Furnner, father Matthew (Sherris) Corby, mother Ellen Buretta, sister Amalia Corby-Edwards: half- sisters Caitlin Buretta, Megan (Tate Walters) Corby, Allison (Ellerton Warhus) Corby, step-sister Heidi (Brad) Blaylock and paternal grandmother Eileen (nee Rump) Corby. She is further survived by many other relatives. Sarah is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Donald and Carol Schneider and paternal grandfather Arthur B. Corby.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Eernisse Funeral Home (1167 Washington Street Cedarburg 53012) from 4-8 PM. A private family Memorial Service will take place the following day. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Sarah Furnner Family for various charities and organizations.
