Obit: Sylvia L. Driscoll, 86, West Bend

Sylvia L. Driscoll (nee Moldenhauer), age 86, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Celia’s Home in West Bend.  She was born on June 27, 1929 in Milwaukee to Ervin and Agnes (nee Pavelko) Moldenhauer.  Sylvia and her husband Gerald “Jerry” Driscoll build their home and moved to West Bend in 1957, where they raised their two children.

Sylvia was a wonderful Mom and Mother-in-law, and a very special, fun loving Nana who cherished her three grandchildren.  She was an avid reader, crafter, picture-taker, spectacular cake baker and seamstress.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter Sherry (Mike) Berend and her son Terry (Mary) Driscoll and their three children Angi, (special friend Robert) of Jacksonville, FL, Ryan (fiancée Amy) of Pewaukee, WI and John of Madison, WI.  She is further survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Scribbins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends especially those she worked with in child care at the “Y”.

Sylvia is preceded in death by her husband Gerald “Jerry” Driscoll, her siblings Annie (Joe) Butsch, Jean Falk, Mary (Elmer) Moldenhauer, Vicki (Jerry) Sworske, John (Dorothy) Wargo and her brother-in-law Jim Scribbins.

A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 4:00 pm at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend, 53095) with Pastor David Schoob presiding.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2:30 pm until the time of the service (4:00 pm).  Private Entombment will take place at a later date at the Washington County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Trinity Lutheran Church (140 N. 7th. Ave., West Bend, WI 53095), Celia’s Home (330 Arbor Point Avenue., West Bend, WI 53095) and/or Season’s Hospice & Palliative Care (6737 W. Washington St., Suite 2150, West Allis, WI 53214).

The family would like to sincerely thank Paige and the staff of Celia’s Home for their caring, compassionate care of Sylvia, as well as the staff of the Season’s Hospice and Palliative Care.

We love you Nana… “Ditto, Ditto, Ditto!”
