Vernal A. Thomsen (nee Siebert), 94, of Port Washington, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Heritage Nursing Care, Port Washington.
She was born on October 3, 1921 to the late Bruno and Katharine Siebert in Milwaukee. She was united in marriage to Alfred Haeberlein. After his retirement they moved to Arizona until Alfred’s passing. She moved back to Milwaukee where she met and married Wilmer Jennerjahn. They enjoyed square dancing and golfing. They moved to Arizona, and after Wilmer’s death, she met and married John Thomsen. They enjoyed traveling and pontoon boating. After John’s death she moved back to Milwaukee in 2002.
She is survived by her daughter, Verlaine (David) Gronowski of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister.
A funeral service in remembrance of Vernal will be held on Wednesday, January 27th, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend. Rev. Joseph Fisher officiating. Burial will be on Thursday, January 28 at 12:00 p.m. at Pine Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service.
