OBITUARY | Andrea Sue Rose, 51, of Iron Ridge, WI

Washington County, WI – Andrea Sue Rose (nee Zolecki), 51, of Iron Ridge, Wisconsin, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023.

Andrea was born on January 14, 1972, in Milwaukee, WI to parents John Zolecki and Laura (nee Hernandez). She was united in marriage to husband Rorry Rose on August 22, and they have been married just under 25 years, along with their two children, Ty and Tate.

Andrea was a woman known for her lively and uplifting spirit. She was the life of the party, and her presence always filled the room in the greatest way possible. She was very family orientated, having two children of her own, but also in her role as an educator.

Andrea has been a dedicated teacher and assistant principal to many students over the last 25+ years, having those special qualities of patience and kindness to everyone she worked with and the students she’s helped. In her free time, she enjoyed everything outdoors such as hiking, staying active and running, being in the sunshine and water, and also the occasional pheasant hunts. She had many amazing qualities as a wife, a mother, a daughter, a friend, and a teacher. She will be remembered for the energetic and loving woman that she was.

Andrea is survived by her husband Rorry; cherished children, Ty and Tate Rose; loving parents, John and Laura Zolecki; dear siblings, Deanna (Rob) Jeter, Tony (Sarah) Zolecki; Jon (Charro) Zolecki; brother-in-law, Jeffrey (Shelia) Rose, and sister-in-law,, Charmaine (Fritz) Zwoniarkiewicz; nieces and nephews, Robert, Jonathan, Jolie, and Jackson, Hudson and Ava, Ronald, Heather, Brian, Melanie, and Melissa, Laura, and Amber; 11 great nieces and great-nephews; her God-mother and cousin, Theresa Castello. Andrea is further survived by many other loved relatives, friends, students, and community members who will miss her deeply.

She is preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Ronald and Antoinette Rose, and her Grandma Sue.

Funeral services for Andrea will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Mayville, 450 Bridge Street, Mayville, WI. Family will greet friends and relatives at the church for visitation from 9 a.m to 11:50 p.m. Service will start at 12:00 p.m with Rev. Mark Cutler officiating.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude for the love and support they have received from everyone during this time of loss. Your prayers and concerns are greatly appreciated.

  1. Dear family of Andrea, I cannot even imagine how devastating this is for all of you. As a friend of hers, I am devastated. She was larger than life and such a huge personality and wonderful person. Such a devastating loss for all who knew her. I am sending you all lots of prayers and healing thoughts and hugs ❤️❤️❤️
