Obituary | Arthur F. Falk, 93, of West Bend

Jan. 19, 2019 – West Bend, WI – Arthur F. Falk, 93, of West Bend died peacefully on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Cedar Community in West Bend.

He was born on June 27, 1925 to the late William and Sylvia (nee Johnson) Falk in Shawano County WI. Arthur graduated from Mattoon grade school and high school in 1943 and then graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1948. He was employed at WE Energies where he became Residential Sales Manager at the headquarters in Milwaukee. In 1970 during the Energy Crisis the sales department was dissolved and he was transferred to West Bend as District Manager until his retirement in 1987. His most challenging time was during the ice store of March 1976. On June 26, 1948 he married Irene Novaro in Antigo WI. She passed away in 1979. Arthur married Nancy Grasse on August 22, 1980.

While in Milwaukee at WE Energies he was a member of the Sales Executive Assn and Cosmopolitan Club. In West Bend he was involved in many Community activities, the Noon Rotary for over forty years and served as it’s president in 1980-1981. Arthur was a member of the West Bend Area Chamber of commerce as president in 1980-1981, the UW Washington County Alumni Assn. and president in 1987, and also the Knights of Columbus since 1978. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Those Arthur leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Nancy Falk; three sons, Larry (Anne) of Lake in the Hills, IL., Robert (Debbie) of Beaver Dam, WI., and Rick (Jamie) of New Berlin, WI.; six step children, Gail (Rick) of La Crescent, MN., John (Ellyn) of Campbellsport, WI., Wayne (Inna) of Deltona, FL., Kim Monroe of OR., Wanda (Timm) of Oregon, WI., and David (Jenny) of Little Falls, NY.; eighteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Irene; a brother, Glenn (Stella); and a sister, Violet.

A visitation in remembrance of Arthur will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend.

A Memorial Mass for Arthur will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1025 S. 7th Ave., West Bend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial are suggested by the family to the St. Frances Cabrini Education Fund or the Threshold.
